Jeffrey Taylor began riding as a young boy in Germany. He spent his youth living in several different parts of the world, but he always pursued his passion for horses. After years of competing in the hunter and jumper ring, Jeffrey set his sights on the more diverse discipline of Eventing. Educated by top-ranking trainers, Jeffrey graduated as a Senior Instructor from Potomac Horse Center in 1977. Jeffrey has since been a top competitor in upper-level Eventing and has ridden every advanced cross-country track on the east coast, completed countless 3-Days, and was long-listed for the Canadian Olympic Team. In 1990, Jeffrey settled in North Ridgeville and began building his training facility, Blue Ridge Farm. Recently retired from Eventing, Jeffrey personally focuses on Dressage and the importing and training of quality European Dressage horses. He has earned both his bronze and silver medals.
Due to his ability to effectively communicate with his students, Jeffrey has a well-established client base throughout the Midwest and east coast. Jeffrey is known for his ability to choose quality young horses, that with the correct training, will develop into valuable show horses. People all over the country use him as a source to seek their young prospects. Blue Ridge Farm is filled with loyal students, several of whom have been a part of his program for over 20 years. Jeffrey and his wife Holly have two children, Preston, and Nathan, who are an active part of the Blue Ridge family.
